HOW DO WE SHIP OUR PUPPIES?

Our Vet does a complete health exam on your puppy which includes a fecal test to check if the dog is free from any worms or parasites. (We only ship our puppies on airlines that implement a Pet Safety Program).

We will book a delivery appointment (flight) as soon as we receive the reservation deposit and send you an email itinerary of all of the times, flights, schedules, tracking AWB & pick up details.

The day of your puppy’s journey, the delivery agency will pick him up from our breeding facility and prepare him for delivery before transporting him to the airport. Once all of the paperwork is filled out and your puppy is checked in at the airport, you will receive an email and phone call from the delivery agency with full flight details. During the day of the flight, we will continually update you step-by-step on the progress of the flight until your puppy arrives safely at your door step.

You can also use the tracking number which we will send to you after the flight confirmation to track the progress of your puppy’s flight from the website of the delivery agency.
Our puppies normally ship out early in the morning and they are delivered later on that same day or the next day in the morning if we put him on an early flight.

Note: When you purchase your puppy through our website the first thing that you need to do is to take the dog to a licensed vet within the first 7 days to make sure he is in good health condition else our refunds policy will not apply.

HOW LONG WILL IT BE BEFORE I RECEIVE PUPPY?

Given the puppy is at least 8 weeks of age or older and has the right medical documents required for shipment, we normally deliver within 6-8 hours the same day or the day after.
Note: We require at least 2 hours to purchase the airline ticket. That is the only way to get good air fares, so please be patient and we will do the best we can to get your puppy to you as fast as we can.

How we deliver our Samoyed puppies in the summer?

In the summer time since there is a heat embargo for dogs, the only way to deliver your puppy is to fly with them in the plane and personally deliver the dog to your closest airport. One of our staff members will take your puppy on the plane in a soft crate which fits right under the seat.

West Highland White Terriers are generally healthy dogs, and responsible breeders screen their stock for health conditions such as cardiac disease and patellar luxation. A Westie's teeth should be brushed often, using a toothpaste formulated for dogs. Regular visits to the vet for checkups and parasite control help to ensure the dog a long, healthy life.

Recommended Health Tests From the National Breed Club:
  • Patella Evaluation
  • Hip Evaluation
  • Ophthalmologist Evaluation

To keep the Westie looking his best, regular grooming is a must. Stripping (or plucking) the old, dead hair is the traditional way of taking care of the terrier coat, and it is the grooming method that must be used if you're interested in showing your dog. Pet owners often have their dogs' coats clipped for neatness. Most people find a professional groomer who will help keep that beautiful Westie look. Usually a visit to the groomer every 4 to 6 weeks will work just fine. Daily brushing and combing are important. Because the Westie has a hard coat, bathing too often can do more harm than good.

Westies love to romp and play, and they enjoy a nice walk. Since by nature they will run after anything that moves, the breed does best in a fenced area or on a leash. With their intelligence, energy, and can-do attitude, Westies excel in a variety of canine sports and activities, including obedience, rally, and agility. True to the breed's original purpose, they have the instinct to go to ground and are superstars at earthdog events.

Smart, confident, adaptable, and endlessly entertaining at play, the adorable Westie has charmed owners for more than 300 years. Like all terriers, Westies were bred to work alone. This terrier independence can make training a challenge, but thanks to their keen intelligence Westies take to patient, consistent lessons that are kept upbeat and interesting. Despite their size, Westies are sturdy, no-nonsense dogs who require little pampering.

The West Highland White Terrier should do well on a high-quality dog food, whether commercially manufactured or home-prepared with your veterinarian's supervision and approval. Any diet should be appropriate to the dog's age (puppy, adult, or senior). Some dogs are prone to getting overweight, so watch your dog's calorie consumption and weight level. Treats can be an important aid in training, but giving too many can cause obesity. Learn about which human foods are safe for dogs, and which are not. Check with your vet if you have any concerns about your dog's weight or diet. Clean, fresh water should be available at all times.

The nobles, landed gentry, and poor farmers of the long-ago British Isles all faced the same problem: infestations of rodents that pillaged grain stores and carried disease. The solution was the development of a vast array of terriers called earthdogs,…

West Highland white terriers are known for their outstanding white coats, compact bodies and spunky personalities. These sturdy little dogs make wonderful, loyal companions. Westies originated in the rocky regions of Scotland where they were bred to hunt badgers, foxes and other vermin.
